ONLINE WEB CONFERENCE INFOWe're pleased to host an online web conference on Moonlighting and Deducting Professional Expenses on Thursday evening, January 29, 2004 at 9 pm ET. The presentation will be made by Andrew Schwartz, CPA, who is also the editor of The MDTAXES Network web site. Each year, Andrew's office prepares tax returns for more than one thousand young doctors and dentists. What he has seen is that the people who moonlight get hit the hardest with taxes, but also have the opportunity to take steps to reduce what they owe to the IRS. Are you familiar with the ways that you can minimize your tax bill when you moonlight? Even if you don't moonlight, if you spend a lot of money on professional expenses during the year, you might be able to deduct the money you spent. Andrew will go over the expenses commonly incurred by young health care professionals, focusing on those expenses that might not be so clear cut. Below is a list of the topics that will be addressed: 1. Deducting Professional Expenses 2. Employee Versus Independent Contractor Status 3. Self-employment Taxes The presentation is scheduled to be approximately 45 minutes in length, and will be followed by an online discussion in our chat room. The cost to attend this online presentation is only $29.95 (which is deductible to you if you moonlight or have enough professional expenses to deduct).
